Syreeta has extensive experience working with collegiate students from advisement to support services to cultural programming. Additionally, she has been a strong supporter and contributor to the development and progression of Black Greek Letter organizations serving as the NPHC advisor at the University of Southern California (USC) and consulting with other University campuses. During her undergraduate years, she served in a number of NPHC positions including president and has developed strategies at her previous institution to assist the campus NPHC to achieve stability in communication, recruitment and involvement. Additionally, Syreeta is actively involved with her own organization having served in positions at the regional and local levels.
Syreeta currently serves as the Director of Operations, as well as a consultant, speaker, and certified instructor for the Harbor Institute. She has presented and conducted trainings with students, professionals and advisors at conferences such as AFA, AFLV, and NCORE, as well as on campuses across the country. In 2015, Syreeta served on the pre-conference presentation team at AFA for a full-day training designed for professionals who advise culturally-based fraternal organizations (CBFOs). Her area of expertise is with culturally-based fraternal organizations on the topics of recruitment, program development and academic performance. Syreeta currently serves lead on curriculum development and instruction for the company’s EVOLUTION! Greek Membership Preparation Curriculum currently being instituted at Albany State University in Georgia. She is an integral team member in the areas of curriculum development and research.
Syreeta is currently pursuing a doctorate in Education with an emphasis in Educational Psychology. She holds a Master’s degree in Social Work and a Bachelor’s of Science in Public Policy and Management both from the University of Southern California. She is a member of Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Inc. and serves at the chapter advisor for an undergraduate chapter.
